• The RCES Spring Book Fair will be held March 28April 3. As many of you know this is a wonderful event that provides funds for the purchase of new books for our library, but it is also an opportunity to get our children more excited about reading. A RCHS parent Mr. Peter Kreyling remarked recently that his father never said no if he requested a book. He may not have purchased toys or candy, but he never said no the purchase of a book. He was sending a powerful message about the importance of reading.

• RCMS teacher Mrs. Lilo Wofle reports that the information learned at the Staff Training on Feb. 1 and 2 is being heavily used in sixth and seventh grade, and the students are responding very positively. I am hearing similar reports from teachers throughout the system in other areas K-12. The strategies include ways to get every
