• This writer is fortunate to work on the Mini-Grant Committee with four very committed individuals: Mr. Peter Kreyling, Chair; Mrs. Margaret Gottlieb; Mr. Tom Taylor; and Mrs. Laurel Van Horn.
• Adult Education classes are now in full swing and students and teachers seem to be very happy. Many thanks to the talented instructors who are involved in the program: Mr. John Norman (Welding), Mrs. Darcy Canton (Guitar), Ms. Kathy Whalen (Excel), Mr. Roger Segalla (Internet and Stock Market), Ms. Michelle Powell (Watercolors), Mr. George Colvin (Line Dancing), Mr. Wilson Atkins (Chair Caning) and Mr. Marco Terriza (Spanish).
The Basic Repairs class is scheduled to begin on Saturday mornings at the end of March and there are still openings. In this class you may bring your weed-eater, roto-tiller or lawn mower, learn how to fix it and get it ready for spring gardening. There has also been revived interest in the Couples Dance Class. We only need two more couples to make this class a reality. It will run for six weeks beginning next Wednesday night, if there is enough interest shown. Interested?
