Robinson and Tom Pendleton, all spoke in support of Mr. Gall's position, and for full funding of school athletics.

Robin Campbell of the RCHS guidance office requested that the Board consider additional funding so that the guidance office could provide more effective service to the students. She asked that the budget include funding for secretarial support so that guidance counselors could spend more time in guidance activities, and more time with the students. Ms. Campbell said that they would like to engage in more small group guidance activities, more large group activities, events including a career day, and establishment of a career center.

Reports and actions

Facilities Committee representative Rosa Crocker reported that the committee met on the greenhouse that is to be constructed with private donations. She said that they are currently discussing relevant programs and the greenhouse design required to fulfill the objectives of the programs selected.

Franklin Warner of the Policy and Legal Committee recommended that the School Board adopt the Code of Ethics as a policy, and the Board agreed and did so unanimously. Mr. Warner also said that the committee revisited the annual leave policy, as requested by the Rappahannock County Education Association, but concluded that no changes
