There are many different elements to consider when choosing a wedding photographer, but these suggestions should help get the search off to a good start.
The photographer
Choose a professional. Ensure the highest quality by hiring someone who photographs weddings full-time.
Research bridal magazines and Web sites to learn the different styles of wedding photography — traditional, photojournalism or a combination of both.
Interview several photographers who shoot in your preferred style. Make sure you are comfortable not only with their work, but how they relate to you as a person. Some photographers are completely unobtrusive — others like to "run the show." Know the person who will share in your special day.
Your photos
Decide whether you want blackand-white photos, color or a combination of both.
Do you want an album, or only loose photos for framing. Or both?
