This is a
special time for
these young children and their parents. Parents are invited to visit the school this spring with their youngsters so that the first day of school in the fall is an easier transition. If children enter a familiar setting in September, it is much more comfortable for them. Our staff works very hard to make the registration process as fun and non-stressful as possible. Please call RCES at 987-8259 anytime to schedule an appointment.
• Once again Headwatersthe Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation is interviewing staff members who have applied for minigrants. Headwaters awards grants of up to $1,000 for a variety of projects which will benefit our students. This spring wo had 13 applications from staff at RCES and RCHS, more than ever before. Because the amount allocated for these grants is limited, and very dependent upon donations received by Headwaters, it was not possible to fund every request in spite of the value of each one to our students. It is wonderful that so many teachers are looking for ways to make wonderful things happen in their classrooms, and we encourage them not to give up! But to keep trying to make these
