and the PTO all come to mind. There are others equally as important and that work just as hard. Mrs. Harriette Rosenblatt, RCES Art teacher^ remarked recently that though we (RCPS) are not perfect, the tremendous community support in terms of volunteerism and support of enrichment programs for our children is the reason she chooses to travel to Rappahannock to teach instead of staying in her home county.
• The RCES PTO in order to thank our incredible K-12 staff is planning a special dance to be held in May just for staff members and their spouses, dates or friends. A committee of hardworking PTO parents is planning the event, dubbed the Buttercup Ball because of the beautiful fields of buttercups in bloom throughout Rappahannock at that time. If x»u would like to be a volunteer and help with the planning of this fun event, please call Committee Chair Mrs. Kaye Kohler at 937-6146 or 675-3128.
• The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. in the RCES Cafeteria. As you may or may not know all of our PTO meetings include dinner. Please bring a pot luck dish and join the fun. Attendance is growing and because of that we are able to provide even more services to our teaching staff and students.
