Spring season sign-up

Rappahannock Athletic Association will be conducting their spring season baseball, softball and tee ball sign-up on Feb. 17 at Bill Payne Auctions on US 211 in Amissville from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Fees are $35 for players five to 12 years old; $40 for players 13 to 16 and $50 for girls 17 to 18 interested in beginning an 18 and under softball team. There is a $5 per child discount tor multiple sign-ups from the same family.

Trout Unlimited sets meeting

The public is invited to hear Mr. Walt Cary, creator of Walt’s Poppers, in Front Royal, discuss and demonstrate “Tying Poppers for Bass,” at the next meeting of the Northern Shenandoah Valley Chapter, Trout Unlimited. This program wM take place on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Youth Center,! located at the northeast comer of the US 522 Bypass (Commerce Avenue) and East 8th Street, Front Royal. Feel free to bring fly tying tools and materials so you can tie along with Wait. Painted popper bodies mounted on hooks will be available for the audience s use at reasonable cost.
