Rev. -Adkins was pastor of the Dry "Rond Regular Baptist Church in Ballard, and was one of the •first Regular Baptist Ministers "to serve as a missionary in l*Japan. He was the father of Mrs. Roger Hatfield, known to • many here in our area.
We are glad to report that Mrs. Peggy Tharp of Aaron fountain Road has greatly improved from major surgery '’and was able to be back in her church at Black Oak last Sunday. Our prayers continue for her and others on our list ■ including Mrs. Janet Peregory, Mrs. Rosie Wharton, Mrs. Lucy Jenkins and Mrs. Judy Meredith.
