Newly elected officers for the S.C.A. of Rappahannock County High School are Bill Kilby, President; Mike Anderson, Vice President; Buck Payne, Reporter; Cassie Frye, Secretary and Greg Clark, Treasurer.

Trout fishermen arrived in Rappahannock County in great numbers Saturday morning in anticipation of the noon opening of the season. The well stocked streams produced good fishing for most. Outdoorsmen, women and children came in campers and some pitched tents to spend a leisurely day on the banks of the trout streams.

In a featured photo Rappahannock righthander Maury Nichols proved to be an adept Elk tamer last Thursday as the Panther pitcher held home-standing Elkton to only four hits to lead the way to a decisive 8-1 win for the locals. Only an unearned run in the sixth inning prevented Nichols from recording a shutout.
