The U.S. Postal Service is likely going to close the Huntly Post Office sometime soon. In April 1989 the Board of Zoning Appeals granted the Postal Service a special use permit to place a temporary trailer for the Post Office in Dorothy Lewis’s front yard. Mrs. Lewis was the former postmaster at Huntly. When she retired she closed the post office that had been in her home.
