Rappahannock during the beauty pageant held Friday under the sponsorship of the Sperryville Rescue Squad. She received her tiara from retiring title-holder Lisa Settle and a gift of $100 from the rescue organization presented by Tom VonFange, emcee for the evening.
First Class Girl Scouts Dawn Watson and Debbie Helmer were honored during a program at the elementary school April 1. The cadettes received the highest honor possible in girl scouting with the first class status bestowed during the ceremony. Brownies and Junior Scouts entertained the girls with choral readings, songs and refreshments.
The Rappahannock County Garden Club will plant a pink dogwood in memory of Mrs. Hugh Chrisman at the Historical Society Building on April 10.
