Chair Werner Krebser too had suggestions for change. His proposed changes included an increase in the application fee structure, the increase in the maximum height of category 1 through 3 towers to 130 feet, and he agreed with Commissioner L.G. Zindel that a “crane test” be required for category 4 towers.

The Commission approved a motion to make six additional changes to the ordinance: change the definition of tower height; add an inflation clause to the required bond; increase the application fee; add language to require certification of the health of buffer trees; add a “crane test” requirement for category 4 towers; and restrict the height of category 1 through 3 facilities to 130 feet.

These changes will require that another public hearing be advertised and held, and that the Board of Supervisors approve the additional amendments.
