room houses available to martins and it seems the gourds are the home of choice. Counting martins at an active site is no easy task, I am fairly sure the gourds at our site are occupied. The two houses have martins building nests in them since the gourds are full. I would estimate that I am hosting 70 plus birds, half from last year and the other half being new arrivals, r * 4 I always watch for
'MM ^ nesting activity. It is an **4 \ exciting time because it is a sure sign that the efforts put forth to attract Purple Martins
