Mrs. Kathryn Aber Wayland, 89, died on Sunday, May 20 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
She was born in Pennsylvania on Sept. 24, 1911, a daughter of the late Dr. David L. Aber and Katherine Marguerite JDreiitlien Aber. ' ■. She was the widow of John i Hamilton Wayland. L • Mrs. Wayland’s grandparents were the late Henry and -Caroline Worst Dreiitlein of .Meadville and Conneaut Lake, Pa. Her great-grandfather, Charles Worst of Buffalo, N.Y. -and Meadville, Pa. helped establish St. Joseph’s -‘Convent, later known as ^-Spencer Hospital.
Mrs. Wayland was a member of Reynolds Memorial Church in Sperryville. f'“ She was predeceased by a son, John David Wayland. • Survivors include two ’daughters, Jacquelyn A. Fox of Sperryville and F. Marguerite Tupper of Washington and a ^feon, William Tamplin Wayland of Sperryville; 10 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted at the Wayland Family Cemetery of Wayland Farms near Sperryville on Wednesday afternoon by the SJev. Phillip W. Bailey and Rev. jjderlin W. Shorb.
Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper was in /charge of the arrangements.

Roosevelt and retired from the Army Map Service in JBrookmont, Md. ,.i1 He was predeceased by his ;wife, Gertrude L. Joback in (January of 1985. .»■ He is survived by his children, Johnny and Margaret Joback of Sterling, Judy and .Charlie Brown of Manassas ^and Jimmy and Ellen Joback of Flint Hill; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
