Frank Donald
Former resident
William Frank Donald, 89, of Kill Devil Hills, died at Nags Head, N.C. on Monday, May 14.
A native of Lexington, he was the son of the late James H. Donald and Daisy Ellen Johns Donald.
For 43 years, Mr. Donald was a wholesale bakery salesman, having been employed by Holmes, General Baking Company and Ottenberg Bakers in the District of Columbia.
He was a member of Petworth Lodge No. 27, F.A. & A.M. of Washington, D.C. for over 50 years.
After retiring, he lived in Rappahannock County for 14 years, where he was active in the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP).
He has been a resident of Kill Devil Hills for 10 years and was a member of the Outer Banks Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Doris Bigham Donald of Kill Devil Hills; three daughters, Margaret McCauley of Southern Shores, Daisy Davis of Sikeston, Mo. and Eleanor Douglas of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a son, Bobby Donald of Fillmore, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
