Ernest Coats III, of Woodville, was charged with being drunk in public.

On the afternoon of May 17, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that a county juvenile had appeared at the Salem Volunteer Fire Co. near Boston, complaining that he had taken drugs.

The 13 year old boy was taken to the emergency room of Culpeper Regional Hospital for treatment. “The whole family was at the hospital," remarked Sheriff Larry Sherertz. “But he won’t tell us what drugs he took.” Since it appears that the drugs were taken in Rappahannock, Sgt. Roger Jenkins of the Sheriff’s Office is assigned to investigate the incident.
