Softball
Three games in four days was the program for the softball teams this past week. The girls lived up to the challenge with the Varsity winning two - beating Madison 31 and George Mason 10-0 - while losing one to the second place Lady Tigers from Brentsville District High School on Monday, May 14. When the dust settled Thursday night, May 17 the Lady Panthers were sitting squarely in third place in the Bull Run District and ready to host the #6 seed Lady Eagles from Clarke County. That District quarter final game will be played at our home field on Tuesday, May 22.
Meanwhile, the Junior Varsity was handling things quite well during their fourday window - beating George Mason, Brentsville and Madison - and by Thursday night they had secured a tie for the top spot in the JV ranks. Their 11-1 record puts them in the JV Championship game against the JV Lady Rams from Strasburg High School - also, sporting a 11-1 JV record. That JV Championship - winner take all - game will be played at Clarke County High School on Wednesday, May 23 - game time 5:30 p.m.
Baseball
After losing a pair of games against Brentsville and Madison on Monday and Tuesday of last week, the baseball team struck paydirt. They thought it would happen and it finally did - the Varsity Baseball Team won their first
