small ceremony and the walking continued. Walkers frequently paused in front of the luminaries that honored their loved ones.

Entertainment included a DJ and dancing, Doodle Bug the Clown, face-painting, and plain old socializing and good conversation and fun.

When thunder, lightening, and heavy rains came near midnight it was time to go inside and enjoy pizza. Even so, there was seldom if ever a time when the Relay track was completely empty. Indeed, there were still some hardy souls at breakfast Saturday morning and at the Closing Ceremonies at 8 a.m.

Hitt; Ester Settle’s Faith Warriors led by Tamara Settle; Faith Mountaineers led by Michelle Kaye and Spiritual Walkers III led by Eunice Lewis and Dorothy Butler.
