Mayor Willis presented the Tbw: financial report for the month. H noted consolidated assets o $651,711.62 through the period down some $1400 from that reportei in July, and Water Works curren assets of $9,332.06 through the em of the July period.
Other activities
• Mayor Willis reported that th< Rappahannock National Ban! requested that the public hearing oi its Special Use Permit be continuee to the September meeting of the Town Council, and the Counci approved the request.
• Council member Charlie Tompkins, following up on his announcement last month tha RAAC’s Fourth of July leadershij had all chosen not to continue te work on the celebration, informed the Council that RAAC will begin i series of community meetings to dis cuss the event. The first meeting ie tentatively scheduled for Sept. 20.
