• Richie Burke presented the Board with Fire Levy Bills and he brought the chiefs of each of the companies to answer any questions from the Board. After questions on a printer purchase by the Washington company, cell phone use by Castleton, and reimbursement policies for out-of-county calls by the Amissville company, the Board unanimously approved bill payment.
• Mr. McCarthy requested and received Board approval for budget amendments to allow for the appropriation and expenditure of funds for the historic survey. The amendments show a total of $18,000 in donated funds and $2,000 in County funds for the $20,000 survey, though only $11,525 in donations has been received as of Aug. 6.
