The annual Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department's parade and carnival were a big success last week. Thursday’s rain showers did little to discourage local residents, as the streets were lined with spectators enjoying the fabulous floats and foot-tapping music. Many residents attended the carnival throughout the weekend taking advantage of the beautiful evenings and delicious summer food.

Lucky winners of the cash prize drawings were: $500 - Ashleigh Pullen, $100 each to Mark Jenkins, Wallace Russell, Danny Huff, Frankie Hitt, and Rill Fannon.
