• Mr. Michael Vargo, head of school at Wakefield Country’ Day School, left this week to fly to China. He is flying to the southeastern province of Fuzhou to arrange for \isas for a group of Chinese teenagers who will spend three weeks at WCDS taking English as a Second Language (ESLi classes. Last year's group of students were such a delight that we are all eagerly awaiting this year’s group's arrival. The students wall spend time taking in local attractions, as well as studying.
• Summer reading lists went out last week in school - bags as the students raced out the door. Parents, predictably, are calling for second copies this week. Why are bookbags such a black hole? Parents, for your own piece of mind: clean out those bookbags!
