Support group to meet
Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will meet on Saturday, June 22 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Culpeper Regional Hospital. The speaker Will be Ronnie Rankin from Grymes Drug Store. He will speak on powered wheelchairs, scooters and other assistive devices. The group meets every month on the fourth Saturday rotating between Culpeper and Fauquier Hospitals. Lifeguarding class planned
The Culpeper-Madison Chapter of the Red Cross is offering Lifeguard training during the week of June 17. The course will be held at Camp Happyland in Richardsville. Successful completion of this course results in American Red Cross certification as a Lifeguard. Course fee of $200 must be paid in advance. Demolition Der by set
Applications are now being accepted for the Demolition Derby to be held Saturday, Aug. 24 during the Page Fair in Luray. Drivers must be 21 years of age. Cars may include any American made stock, hardtop automobile or station wagon. No oversize vehicles or trucks are allowed. Official entry blanks are available by calling 743-4949.
Registration is guaranteed to the first 60 applicants. There will be four heats and each of the top three cars in each heat will advance to the feature event. Trophies and cash prizes are allotted each heat with a grand prize in the feature to include $500 cash payout. This marks the 50th anniversary of the Page Valley Agricultural and Industrial Fair. The fair runs from Auq. 18 throuah Aug. 24.
