• Congratulations to all of the young scholars at RCHS who were recognized at the Academic Awards Banquet on Wednesday. June 5. This event is hosted each year by Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation. Many thanks to all Headwaters members and RCHS Staff who worked so hard to provide this special evening for our students.
• Congratulations to Mrs. Gracie Caliandro on her retirement this June. Mrs. Caliandro has been a teacher's aide at RCES for the past 27 years and is adored by everyone who knows her. Her gift for working with children < and her obvious affection for them) is evident in everything she does. We will miss her presence terribly, but we wish her well.
• In just over two hours, volunteer doctors and nurses and a crew of assistants administered over 110 free sports physicals to middle school and high school students at RCHS last Tuesday, June 4. This enormous feat could not have been accomplished were it not for the efforts of doctors Brooke Miller, MD, John Evans, MD and Ann Miller, RNC-FNP; nurses Linda Torrance, Kelly Clement, Judy Tole, Trish Martin, Danette Opseth, Ann Rechin, Sherry Pace, Maggie
