There is a time for travel. In his young years George and Geneva traveled to and lived in Brunswick. Ga.and in Washington, D.C. during World War II.
In earlier years George went to the Chicago World's Fair with Judge Rayner Snead and other friends. They drove in a Model T Ford.
Travel he did. Particularly to Clevviston. Fla. Family members have vivid memories of the long drive down and the long drive hack to and from Clewiston.
George was an independent person. He rarely asked for anyone to assist him. It was quite the opposite. On one of the occasions when Geneva was hospitalized, a question arose as to w hether she should go into a nursing home. George was in his 70s at the time. He called around 6 one morning and told Judy he was going to take Geneva home and take care of her himself. He made tin* arrangements and did so.
Late into his 80s George read the Washington Post: he watched the news on TV; he relied upon and quoted Boh Ryan of Channel 4 for the
