absentee dates set
In order to be eligible to vote in the General Election, to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, you must be registered to vote by Monday, Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. If you’re not sure if you’re registered to vote in Rappahannock or if you have any questions or need forms, contact Registrar Nancy Newfin, at 675-5330.
For the convenience of eligible citizens, the Voter Registration Office of Rappahannock County will be open for registration Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The office will also be open on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the convenience of registered voters who need to vote by ■ absentee ballot for this election date.

annual meeting
Members, family, and friends of Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection are invited to enjoy a Rappahannock Sampler of wine, cider, coffee, cheese, and finger food prepared by Rappahannock neighbors on Friday, Oct. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall.
The annual meeting will begin at 7 p.m. with registration and 'Trampling, greeting neighbors and . • RLEP Board of Directors balloting (members). At 7:45 p.m. the 32nd annual membership meeting of RLEP will begin.
