with Sheri Woodward played well in the 31-22 loss to George Mason. The JVs are 4-4 on the season.
The Junior Panther Girls’ Basketball team dropped two contests to a very good Warrenton Middle School team and a close six-point loss to Cedar Lee Middle School. The team is 0-9 on the season but has been showing progress.
Rebecca Tupper, Noel Johns and Ella Miller continue to play well for the Lady Junior Panthers.
Cross country
The cross country team placed third at the four-team Brentsville meet, losing to Brentsville and George Mason but defeating Strasburg 84-94. Ethan Berry finished 11th in the meet with a time of 18:57; John Letsen was 14th with a clocking of 19:24, Kevin Martin was 16th at 19:41; Johnathan Robinson at 20th and Brian Brown at 23 rounded out the team. Robinson had a time of 19:59 and Brown a 21:33. The team has 3-6 season record.
The team competed in the Augusta County Cross Country Invitational at Blue Ridge Community College on Saturday with Ethan Berry picking up an 23rd place finish with a time of 19:42.
