two long runs by their tailback and we outplayed them. I was really proud of the line play today as our guys are starting to understand what it takes to control the line of scrimmage. Right now we need some of the boys to show more leadership on the field. We are letting one bad play or series effect our on-field attitude and performance. We've got to learn to get over what happened on the last play and keep fighting. Right now we’re not doing that."

Overall statistics favored the Mustangs who had 190 total yards compared to Rapp’s 88. As previously mentioned, with the exception of the two big touchdown runs, George Mason only had 59 yards of offenSe. The play of the Rapp linebackers, particularly Justin Gheen and Issauc Raney, who both had foujunassisted tackles and helped out on others, was another bright spot in the game. Also Robbie Swan recovered two fumbles for the Panthers.
