Headwaters in honor of the late conservationist, John Sawhill. David and Maggie Cole, with their interest in conservation and organic agriculture, graciously agreed that their donation be applied to the greenhouse project.
A greenhouse committee, under the leadership of Headwaters board member Mary Anne Biggs, began investigating all facets of the project, from site selection to construction to curriculum. The school provided an engineering study.
The final component of the greenhouse project was Headwaters board member Peter Kreyling, of Kreyling Construction, who generously offered to lend his building expertise to site preparation, ordering materials, and construction. By
