Kaitlyn Jenkins, daughter of Mark and Holly Jenkins of Dearing Road celebrated her sixth birthday on Saturday with family and friends attending. The children enjoyed games, a pinata, cake, ice cream and snacks.
The Flint Hill Baptist Church is having homecoming services on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker for the service is Dr. Michael Clingenpeel, Editor and Business Manager of the Religious Herald in Richmond.
A covered dish dinner will follow the service at the fire hall. The public is welcome. Plan now to attend.
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary will meet at the fire hall on Monday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
A memorial service was held at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery on Saturday for Major Cowgill. Following the service family and friends gathered at Major’s Garage. Major will be greatly missed in the community.
Our prayers continue for all those on the sick list. A special prayer for the North family at Huntly.
Jim Curtis of Linden visited with his mother, Mrs. Mary Curtis on Sunday.
