RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VIRGINIA

PURSUANT to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at seven-thirty in the evening in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, in order to consider the following application:

In Wakefield District (Tax Map 1, Parcel

13, zoned A'-AgricuJtural), known as

1861 Zachary Taylor Highway, desires a

Special Use permit for a family apartment.

Mr. and Mrs. North wish to use the

existing dwelling of less than 1,200 square

feet for their sons and place a double-wide

mobile home to use as their primary

dwelling. Use allowed under Section 17036A

of the Rappahannock County Code;

additional standards under Section 17062G

of the Code.

No applicant or other party in interest, and no attorney for an applicant or party in interest, shall initiate a contact with a member of the BZA for the purpose of conducting a private discussion, in person or by telephone, concerning the merits of any application, appeal, or other matter pending before the BZA. No member of the BZA shall participate in any such private discussion. Site visits or similar contacts initiated by BZA members sha" not constitute such ex parte contracts.

A copy of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Said application will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at seven o’clock in the evening at the Chester Gap Fire Hall for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 170-55, if any. The above-named applicant, adjacent property owners, and any other parties desiring to be heard should be present at said meeting or should address their written comments to the Board of Zoning Appeals, c/o P.O.
