Cletus Printz and his son, William Printz are developing an 11 and 1/2 acre subdivision, known as Jackson Acres in Amissville. The lots of approximately a half-acre have been marked off and construction of the first building is underway.
One day last week a big trailer-truck from Champaign, 111. rolled onto the high school grounds loaded with new bleacher seats for the auditorium-gymnasium. Two days later a representative of the company holding the contract for the sale and installation of the seats appeared at school and immediately went to work assisted by students, the janitor and Coach Larry Bolyard.
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Company made $383.93 during the fall rummage sales. The auxiliary will have an auction on Oct. 22 and following the auction an Olson Oriental Rug will be away.
Rappahannock Democrats were planning to be in Culpeper on Monday morning, Oct. 10 at 8:23 for the arrival of Lyndon Johnson, Democratic candidate for Vice President of the United States. Large crowds are expected to greet Mr. Johnson when he pauses for a brief visit with supporters of this area os a whistle-stop tour of the east.

Rappahannock apple harvest is well underway and orchardists report everything from a small crop to a 75 percent crop, depending on varieties. A front page photo featured bulk bins which hold about 22 bushels filled with Yorks awaiting shipment in Moore Orchards near Flint Hill.
The benefit auction sponsored by Rappahannock Lions is scheduled for Thursday and Lions Phil Button and Bob Ingle have been busy collecting articles for the sale. Helping to unload articles were Auctioneer
