workshop slated
A workshop, Growing Fall and Winter Greens in Unheated Structures will be offered in October. Extending the growing season for leafy greens is the focus of this informative and popular garden workshop, given by Donna LaPr6.
Using unheated low tunnels, cold frames and hoophouses, it is possible to harvest salad greens, kale, carrots and other vegetables from October through April. The class is offered both Saturday, Oct. 5 and again, Sunday, Oct. 13 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Registration is required. For information call 6752365 or e-mail dopray@earthlink. net.
