Bessie Marie Canard Heflin, 91, of DeLand. Fla., formerly of Front Royal and Rectortown died Friday. Sept. 27.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Oct 1 at the Rectortown United Methodist Church by Rev. C. Marc Roberson. Interment was at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville.
Mrs. Heflin was a member of the Rectortown Methodist Church and had lived in Rectortown for approximately 50 years and also in Front Royal. She was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 9, 1910 in The Plains, daughter of the late George Cleveland and Anne Kerns Canard.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband.
