Cash prizes of $60, $40, $20 were awarded for first and second arid third places and honorable mention, for vocalist and instrumentalist in elementary and high school grade levels. Official Lions Club certificates were given to all who participated.
In the elementary school vocalist division, Megan Wheatly, 12, grade six, alto, won first place for singing “Castle On A Cloud.”
In the instrumental division, first place went to Nicole Espinola,13, grade seven, piano, “Golliwog’s Cake Walk.” Second place went to Alex Shafran, 13, grade seven alto sax, “Yardbird Suite, accompanied by Dave Adams. Third place went to Evan Espinola, 10, grade five, saxophone, “Amazing Grace.”
In the high school vocalist division, first place went to Michelle Fegeas,14, grade 9, soprano, “Shenandoah”, accompanied by Kate Cooper. Second place was Laura Ann Wheatley,13, grade eight, soprano, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” accompanied by Evelyn Oyster.
