I read the editorials every
week and I write a response in my head, or I just say hohum, same old, and get on with my work as an artist.
But I am also a citizen of the United States of America and one of my responsibilities, one of my rights and duties, is to engage in political discussion.
So I must respond to . Elizabeth Whetzel’s Feb. 27 editorial in this newspaper as I hope many other readers do and someone far more eloquent than I will also respond and set some facts straight.
Ms. Whetzel states, “Being a participant in a demonstration is a privilege, not a right.”
