If this seems harsh ask John McCarthy where his children are going to school this year. He pulled his children out of the Rappahannock schools so commercial traffic running through the school bus drop off road doesn't personally affect him.
As a parent with a child who will be entering the high school next year I have great concerns. My solution was to tour the school during the day to see what really goes on there.
During the change of classes I saw two fights, many excessive displays of affection (making out in comers, students on the floor) and a disregard for getting to classes on time.
Their AP pass rate is extremely low and the guidance counselor couldn't give me figures on how many seniors went on to college last year.
