BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, VIRGINIA

PURSUANT to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 7:00 PM in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, in order to consider the following application:

The Appalachian Club, LLC, lessors of

approximately 400 acres owned by

Ragland Limited LLC on Rt. 231 near

Revercomb's Comer (TM 54, Parcel 18;

zoned ‘A -Agricultural, StonewallHawthorne

District), desire a Special

Exception permit to have an outdoor firing

range (sporting clays). Use allowed under

Section 170-36D of the Rappahannock

County Zoning Ordinance; additional

standards under Section 170-65A & D of

the Ordinance.

A COPY of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Said application will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at 7:30 PM at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 170-55, if any. The above-named applicant, adjacent property owners, and any other parties desiring to be heard should be present at said meeting or should address their written comments to the Board of Supervisors, c/o P.O.
