I knew the “right to assemble” was in there somewhere and I took the time to look up the Constitution in order to set Ms. Whetzel straight.
It is our duty and our right as U. S. citizens to assemble, publicly demonstrate and voice our various opinions.
But what is most distressing to me is Ms.Whetzel’s fearful view of American history, both recent and past. She believes there is a “guiding organization, with a hidden agenda” surrounding the recent world anti-war demonstrations.
Her assumption that all those millions of citizens in the U.S. who want to voice their opinions are “gullible, misguided, uninformed, or adolescent,”
