The band is selling azaleas for its spring fundraiser until April 12. Who can think of a better way to beautify yards and gardens and help support the band
The azaleas are locally grown from Long Mountain Nursery in Washington. There are many varieties to choose.
Order forms may be obtained from band members and booster members or be picked up at the following locations: Sperryville Comer Store, Quickie Mart, Country Cafe, county library, Mayhughs in Amissville, the kiosk outside the Washington Post Office, the high school, school board office and elementary school.
We send along a big thank you to the coaches, Mr. Mello and Mr. Armstrong for all their support of the Pep Band, assisting with set-up and asking the band to do the honor of playing the National Anthem.
We also appreciate the parents of our band students who took the time to bring their children to perform at these games. We look forward to doing more next basketball season.
For parents of band students in elementary school, please remember to send one item for an upcoming yard sale, except clothing. Items may be left at the elementary school’s main office.
