Tb all this he has added a degree of rudeness in dealing with the town’s residents. He, and his supporters on council, are quickly making it clear that they are in charge, that they know best, and that they are not interested in anyone else. What happened to representative government?

On March 12 the Washington Tbwn
Council acted to fill a vacant seat. My interest in civic affairs led me to seek the open seat.
Tb demonstrate community support I circulated and submitted a petition that garnered 80 signatures expressing support for my candidacy. Tfen of 11 speakers present at the meeting spoke on my behalf. Despite this, the council saw fit to pass me by.
Tb those that share my vision of the community and signed the petition, and especially the friends that spoke out so forcefully at the council meeting, I wish to convey my heartfelt gratitude.
As we try to understand how a democratic process can be so unresponsive, we can still look forward to the next Election Day and the opportunity to replace those that are deaf to the sound of the voters. Well be back.
