Megan Wheatley brought home a certificate for Most Effort for her project, “Creek Critters,” in the Microbiology, Medicine & Invertebrate Studies division.
While participation was somewhat smaller than in former years, Rappahannock students should be proud of their accomplishments and rewards.
It was a long and grueling day for the students, as they stayed with their projects and attempted to answer the judges’ questions
As the judges stressed at the awards ceremony that ended the day’s activities, all of these children are winners for working so hard and advancing to the regional competition.
Many of these students made friends from other schools, and now have clearer ideas of what it takes to make a winning project.
It’s not too early to think about next year’s science fair, which should be even better.
