farming activity, tractors, lawn movers weaning calves, logging and seasonal hunting. This we accept readily because we ourselves are farmers.
We are not however, immune to the sound of high powered rifles that shoot incessantly on Saturdays and Sundays when we are trying to relax outside (and even inside) from a hard day's/week's work.
We must also state, that we are not urban/suburban implants living in "McMansions" who now wish to change their environment selfishly.
We are both natives to this area (some roots as far back as 1700); we remember when this farm was in the hands of a real working farm, (The Updike Place), before it became the commodity of the super rich.
This area is far removed from Washington, Va. out of sight and out of mind even from our own Madison Board of Supervisors, but we do have a right and say in how our own day to day lives are impacted by the recreational
