Helen Williams Outgoing School Superintendent
Superintendent Helen Williams, serving in an acting capacity since the resignation of Dr. David Gangel last year, is wrapping up her duties in -.advance of the July 1 start date of new superintended Dr. Robert Chappell.
School Board Chairman Wesley Mills recognized her contributions and expressed his "deep gratitude to Helen Williams for this past year." He asked board members to propose a means of more formally thanking her for her efforts.
The board approved a resolution in honor of School Board member^ and community enthusiast Franklin Warner, who passed away on May 20.
Chairman Mills read the resolution that offered condolences and expressed "deepest appreciation” for Warner s contributions to the school system. Williams presented a copy yf the resolution to Dorothy Warner.
