Meanwhile, Chairman Mills reported that a notice of vacancy for the Stonewall-Hawthome District School Board seat held by Warner had been published in the Rappahannock News and he reiterated the schedule for making the appointment:
Letters of Intent are due on June 12 and are to be submitted to the Deputy Clerk at the School Board office.
On June 17 at 7:30 p.m. a public hearing will be held to consider candidates for the position and on June 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the School Board end-of-year payout meeting at the School Board office, the appointment will he made.
The newly appointed School Board member will be seated at the July 8 School Board meeting and will serve the remainder of Warner s term (until the end of 20031.
