Saturday, June 14 is Flag Day. It’s the 226th birthday of the American flag. In 1777 the Continental Congress adopted the Stars and Stripes as the official American Flag. White stripes signify Purity and Innocence and red stripes Hardiness and Valor, blue signifies Vigilance, Perseverance and Justice. The stars represent the states.
Ferol Simpson of Me Lean spent the weekend with Alice Butler and family. Saturday Ferol Simpson and Alice Butler took the bus trip from the Washington Baptist Church to Strasburg Pa., and attended the play “Daniel.”
