Sealed proposals shall be addressed to and deposited with Helen M. Williams, Superintendent, at the Office of the Rappahannock County School Board, 6 Schoolhouse Road, Washington, Virginia 22747, until 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, June 26, 2003 for the following project

Electrical System Upgrades

Rappahannock County Elementary School

Rappahannock County. Virginia

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the School Board Office at the time stated above.

A non-mandatory Pre-bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local prevailing time, June 19, 2003 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School, 34 Schoolhouse Road, Washington, Virginia 22747.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or the bid bond of an approved Surety Company, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal.

Drawings and Project Manuals for bidding purposes may be obtained by the contractors at the office of MEI Engineering, Inc., 276 South Liberty Street. Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801, Phone (540) 432-6272. A non-refundable cost of $15.00 will be charged for each set of Drawings and Project Manuals mailed for 2-3 day delivery. A non-refundabie cost of $25.00 will be changed per set if bidder desires documents to be mailed for overnight delivery.
