Finally, about one in every 14 adults in Rappahannock County are widowed.

This includes 1.5 percent of men and 5.9 percent of women, for a total of 7.4 percent. This total percentage is in the middle of the data for the surrounding counties (Culpeper, 9.7 percent; Fauquier, 8.4 percent; Madison, 7.9 percent; Page, 8.8 percent; Warren, 7.0 percent) and the state of Virginia (6.2 percent).
