Here he added color, movement and sound to each drawing, based on what the third grade had provided in its storyboard. The final result was a wonderful full color animated cartoon, the first of its kind at WCDS, and definitely not the last. The cartoon can now be viewed at www.Lilypadgraphics.com.

The Rappahannock County Garden Club members brought many beautiful flowers to the May meeting to be eryoyed and judged. The ample rains produced a lovely array of blooms.
Blue ribbons in Horticulture with Iris, Peonies, Perennials and flowering shrubs were awarded to: Virginia Scott, Charlotte Lairtg, Sally Havstad, Cindy Hartz, Celine Siira, Joanne Tapper, Ruth Baumgardner, Susan Jones, Betty Wood, Mary Revercomb, Louise Bondelid, Aney Hoehn, Karen Darby and Maureen Harris.
Blue ribbons were awarded to Joanne Tepper and Virginia Scott in the creative design “The Lovely Iris.” The other design class was “Mothers Day.” The blue ribbon winner in the class was Susan Jones.
The Garden Club will meet June 18 at 1 p.m. for refreshments and 1:30 p.m. for the program which will be “Pinning Flowering Shrubs” by Paige Thacker, Master Gardener from Fauquier County. The program will include presentation and demonstration.
