Vacation Bible
School June 16-20
Another fun packed Vacation Bible School/Summer Ministries program takes place daily from 9 a.m. to 12 noon from June 16-20 at Washington Baptist Church. The Rev. Phillip Bailey said the program will explore some of the mysteries of ancient Egypt and “unearth” hidden treasures in Bible stories. The program includes a Living Word Oasis, Chariots of Fun, Pharaoh’s Phood Court, and a Craft Bazaar. Two mascots, Niles, a wise old crocodile, and Humphrey, a fun-loving young camel, double the fun.
Author orientation
set for June 16
The Rappahannock County Library will hold a parent/author orientation on Monday, June 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a summer program in which student authors will learn to layout a book, compose text and prepare illustrations. The first session is Saturday, June 21 at 2 p.m. A nonrefundable fee of $1.95 is due at the time of registration. Program is recommended for incoming 6th grade and up.
